Larry Tobin

Larry Tobin is The Director of The Shapiro Foundation, a Boston-based Foundation focused on creating additional win-win opportunities in refugee resettlement. The Shapiro Foundation does this by investing in the creation of lawful pathways and then in great organizations, like Patchwork, who do the hard work of actually bringing more individuals to safety through those pathways. The Shapiro Foundation does this via both sponsorship and labor pathways for refugees.

Prior to joining The Shapiro Foundation as the first professional staff in 2017, Larry spent a decade at CJP, Boston’s Jewish Federation. At CJP, Larry led a team responsible for raising over $37M annually.

Beyond Patchwork, Larry sits on the board of WelcomeNST & Humanity Rises and is an active volunteer with Yeshiva Ohr Yisrael, Jewish Family Services of Metrowest and The Rashi School.
