Siddiqullah Reshtya is a lawyer by profession, educator, and human rights advocate with over 14 years of experience in law, education, and humanitarian affairs. He holds advanced degrees in Law, with specialized training from institutions in Germany and Switzerland. Multilingual and committed to justice, Siddiq is recognized for his academic excellence and leadership in legal reform and education.
Throughout his legal career, Siddiq has led and supported major initiatives in legal capacity-building, justice sector reform, and curriculum development. As a Senior Program Officer at USIP, he worked with the Attorney General’s Office to strengthen institutional competencies and support research-based reforms.
Siddiq is especially dedicated to supporting vulnerable populations, particularly women. He has provided free legal aid to Afghan women facing domestic violence, family disputes, and property issues. Through legal clinics, outreach, and representation, he has helped women assert their rights within both formal and traditional justice systems.
