José Lusende

Vice-Chair

José Lusende is a financial advisor at Edward Jones where he helps individuals, families and small business achieve their financial goals with his firm's vast array of established processes, resources, tools and services. He is also an adjunct faculty at the University of Indianapolis. Prior to joining Edward Jones in 2019, José held leadership positions as a fundraising professional in the nonprofit sector, including at two local universities.


José holds a Master's degree in Philanthropic Studies from the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a major in finance from Marien Ngouabi University in the Congo. He served as a volunteer for many organizations. Currently, José is a board member for New Hope of Indiana and Congo Helping Hands. José's American Dream life story has been featured in the book "New Faces at the Crossroads" and in the recent BBC documentary "Miriam's Great American Adventure."
