We invite you to join us for a community conversation about Afghanistan and the Afghan community in Indiana. The discussion will be led by Najia Sherzad Hoshmand, an Afghan ally during the U.S. mission in Afghanistan, an evacuee during the fall of Kabul in 2021, and now a local community leader in Indiana. Learn about Afghan culture, shared history with the U.S., and relevant issues to the Afghan community in Indiana.
This program is part of "Resistance to Cruelty That Never Ends: An Afghan & Ukrainian Multicultural Art Exhibit." Through art, we invite audiences to dive deeper into the cultures and stories of their immigrant and refugee neighbors they may not be familiar with yet.
Attendance is open to the public, but an RSVP is highly appreciated.
