This past April has been a busy month for Patchwork's commitment to connecting our diverse communities and building strategic partnerships to foster a more inclusive and interconnected city.
Our commitment to advocating for inclusive governance and community engagement of our immigrant and immigrant refugee communities, we held discussions with:
Offices of US Senators Todd Young and Mike Braun
Karrah Herring, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer for Governor Holcombe's office
Diego Morales, Indiana Secretary of State
State Representative Victoria Garcia-Wilburn
Deputy Mayor of Indianapolis, Judith Thomas
Indiana Economic Development Council
To foster bonds with our interfaith communities and partners, we had the honor of attending The Indianapolis Muslim Community Association’s Civic Iftar and the Interfaith Passover Sedar held at the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation.
We were proud Ally Sponsors at Immigrant Welcome Center's “Live Local, Think Global” fundraiser event, celebrated the 40th anniversary of Indy Reads, and engaged in forums and workshops during the “Migration-Immigration: Responding to Demographic Shifts” event at the Global Village Welcome Center.
Through continued community engagement, partnership, and uplifting do we create a stronger, more inclusive, and thriving city!
